The history of Kinston’s historic cemeteries is the history of
those  who are buried in these hallowed grounds.

A major goal of the Historic Cemeteries Task Force is to compile a meaningful
 record of those interred in Maplewood, Cedar Grove and the Hebrew Cemeteries.

The first effort will be to seek direct information from the descendants
whose ancestors are buried in these city-owned burial grounds.

To facilitate the process, the task force has developed a questionnaire
for these descendants to use to submit their ancestors information.

Information gleaned through this method will be extremely
helpful in compiling this record of memories.
