      Welcome to the Heritage Genealogical Society web page.  Our mission is researching and documenting the Families of Lenoir, Greene and Jones Counties North Carolina.  Our Membership is open to those who are both local and out of town/state. The Heritage Genealogical Society would like to thank Martha  Mewborn Marble  for her outstanding contributions throughout the years to the genealogical research of the families of the our communities and her generosity in sharing that information with others.

Meetings are held the second Thursday of every month, at Heritage Place Library, from 7:00-9:00 PM, visitors are always welcome.

Membership dues are $20.00 annually (January to December), or $30.00 for a family membership. $5.00 from each annual membership will be donated to Heritage Place Library  for the purpose to purchase books or materials that will aid in the research of genealogy.

We are affiliated with the
"Old Dobbers" and "Historical Preservation Group" websites, and they represent our online databases. There is quite a bit of great information already on these websites, so make sure you visit them soon.

We have many great things planned for the coming year, so why not come and research with us!!!
